Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our civil construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, site safety, welding, fabrication, and fencing. This role involves overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing on-site operations to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Site Management: Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed according to design specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

- Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce safety protocols and practices on-site, conducting regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.

- Project Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project schedules.

- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Conduct inspections and tests as required.

- Welding and Fabrication: Oversee welding and fabrication activities, ensuring that all processes are carried out according to applicable codes and standards.

- Fencing Installation: Supervise the installation of fencing and related structures, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily reports, safety inspections, and project progress. Prepare reports for management and stakeholders as needed.

- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction process, coordinating with team members to implement effective solutions.

- Site Planning: Assist in the development of site layouts, ensuring efficient use of resources and space. Monitor inventory and materials to support project needs.

- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to communicate progress, challenges, and changes to project plans.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil construction, with hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and fencing projects.

- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulations, with relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) preferred.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

- Proficient in using construction management software and tools for documentation and reporting.

- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
